Day 1, August 9, 2025
Arrive at Deer Lake on the West Coast of Newfoundland to begin your holiday with
McCarthy's Party. En route to your tour hotel you will travel the Viking Trail to take
in the spectacular scenery of Gros Morne National Park, an area declared by the
United Nations as the newest World Heritage Site. Tonight you will enjoy a get
together to meet your fellow travellers and learn more about the adventure ahead.

Day 2, August 10, 2025
This morning we take a boat tour across beautiful Bonne Bay to Woody Point. The
trip offers spectacular views of the park’s vistas as well as the Tableland Mountains.
This golden mountain range made up of rocks formed from the Earth’s mantle is this area that earned the park its nickname as the ‘Galapagos of Plate Tectonis’. Once in Woody Point we have some time to explore the little town, visit the park’s Discovery Centre and have a little stroll in one of the Tableland’s valleys.

Day 3, August 11, 2025
Bid farewell to the west coast as we take an easterly trek, to a new geological
frontier. A perfect harbor provides a beautiful backdrop for an eventful morning of
whale interpretation and brilliant art exhibits. This afternoon commemorates the
survivors of the 9/11 Tragedy and the many acts of kindness extended when we
welcomed the 'Come From Away' guests into the homes and communities
surrounding Gander; the epicenter of the hit Broadway musical.

Day 4, August 12, 2025
Today we are off on the “Road to the Isles”, travelling across "Tickles and Runs" to
spend time on beautiful Twillingate Island. This is one of Newfoundland's oldest and most interesting fishing communities. We visit the lighthouse at Crow Head, the Auk Island Winery for a sample of their wares, and the Beothuck Centre in Boyd’s Cove where we learn about the native groups that once occupied Newfoundland.

Day 5, August 13, 2025
This morning we will visit the fishing community of Salvage on the Eastport
Peninsula. Here we go for a walk in the town and hopefully have a chat with some of
the locals. This is also a great iceberg viewing area. Next we travel to Terra Nova
National Park to view the vistas of Newman Sound and to visit the park’s Marine
Interpretation Center. Here we will experience first-hand the variety of marine life
found in the sounds and learn about this ecologically diverse area.

Day 6, August 14, 2025
This morning we travel to the historic village of Trinity, one of the oldest
communities in North America, the gem of the Island. Here we learn about the Poole fish merchants who established this fishing station. We also have the opportunity to visit some of the many shops and galleries where local work is featured. Next we are off to Bonavista, the landfall of John Cabot in 1497. Here we visit the Ryan Premises and have an opportunity to learn about inshore fishing techniques that have allowed this town to thrive for hundreds of years. This afternoon we visit Cape Bonavista for a chance to walk the cliffs and enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery.

Day 7, August 15, 2025
Natural wonders abound on this morning’s boat trip to the Witless Bay Ecological
Reserve to views Atlantic Puffins, Murres and the millions of seabirds that nest on
these coastal islands. This is a favorite feeding ground for Humpback, Minke, and Fin whales where frequent and multiple sightings are a definite possibility. Visit Cape Spear National Historic Park, the most easterly point of land in North America, before heading into St. John's, the provincial capital and cultural showcase. Dinner tonight is on George Street, a street of nothing other than pubs and bars. We will enjoy some local pub fare as well as some Newfoundland music and entertainment.

Day 8, August 16, 2025
Today we travel to Bay de Verde to take in the Festival of Quilts, a celebration of
handmade tradition and cultural creativity. We will have a chance to chat and meet
with the locals. Many of these quilts are for sale, so you can take a little piece of
Newfoundland home with you.

Day 9, August 17, 2025
An historic tour of St. John’s will provide a brilliant interpretation of North
America’s oldest city, and a proper orientation for your free time this afternoon.
Visit Cabot Tower and Signal Hill to view the harbour’s "Narrows" and admire the
architecture of old St. John’s, including the famous ‘Jelly Bean Houses’. This
afternoon is free to explore the many historic exhibits, walking trails and boutique
shops and galleries that surround your hotel. This evening, we share our Farewell
Dinner.

All good things must come to an end and so we bid a fond farewell to our newest yet

Day 1, October 6, 2025
We will start our journey at Quilters Barn & Gifts, with pick ups in Cornwall, Kingston and Cobourg area.
After a delicious lunch at the Big Apple we will make our way to Nancy's Fibre Art Shop, in Lincoln. This shop is a great place to start the tour, as the shop offers a good selection of fabric, wool products for applique and yarn for all the knitters and crocheters.
We will arrive at the Best Western in St. Catharines, our home for the next 2 nights.
Day 2, October 7, 2025
This morning after a delicious breakfast we will be visiting 2 quilt shops in St Catharines.
Our fist shop will be Kindred Spirits. Kindred Spirits is a great shop with a variety of collections of fabrics, notions and Accuquilt dies.
The next shop will be Up Your Quilt, with a wonderful variety of fabric collections, and notions.
This afternoon lunch will be on your own and you will have time to explore the boutique shops, from fashion to art galleries, in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
We will return to the hotel late afternoon.

Day 3, October 8, 2025
After breakfast we leave our hotel and visit the famous Butterfly Conservatory.
The facility includes an 11,000 square foot conservatory, video theatres, interactive displays and is also the teaching facility for the Niagara Parks School of Horticulture. It also includes laboratories and specialized greenhouses for rearing butterflies and growing plants.
After we have explored the Butterfly Conservatory will be stopping for lunch.
We will make our way to our hotel for the night in Tillsonburg. Once we have checked in and freshened up we will going to the Turkey Point hotel for a Film & Feast night for dinner and a movie.
This is fun way to have dinner, as we watch the movie, the restaurant staff will serve up to 7 courses depending on the movie. Whatever the characters are eating in the movie, the staff serves their interpretation of that part of the meal. It is a great night.

After Breakfast we check out of the hotel and visit one of my favorite local quilt shops, Cherish Pieces in Tillsonburg.
Temptation awaits as you explore their shop filled with quality cotton fabrics, notions, patterns and so much more.
Once we leave the shop we will be stopping for a delicious lunch at the Elm Hurst Inn, in Ingersoll.
The Elm Hurst mansion was built in 1872 as the personal residence of James Harris and family. A fine example of the Gothic Revival style, it remained a stately family home for more than a century.
The last Harris heir sold the property in the mid 1970s, and the house was transformed into a popular dining establishment that opened in 1979. An addition was added to the rear of the original structure five years later, with the 49-room Elm Hurst Inn & Spa being built in 1988.
Now that we are full, Ye Old Fabrics is our next stop!
This store stocks complete new collections by Tilda as well as the full Solid palette, blenders and basics.
Fat quarter bundles, fat eighths bundles, precuts and a large variety of kits.
We will make our way to St Jacobs where we will have dinner at the Stone Crock, Jacob's Grill.
We will arrive at the Holiday Inn Express later in the day in St Jacobs.

Well today is the last day, but there are 2 quilt shops to visit!
This morning we will be stopping at Country Concessions, in Cookstown. Be prepared to lose yourself in our selection of quality cottons, flannels, cuddly minkys, selection of quilting kits, panels, notions, patterns, books, rulers...
Once we leave this beautiful shop, our next stop will be in Uxbridge for lunch.
After lunch we will visit Quilter's Cupboard, a full service quilt shop with a full range of fabric to notions.
We will arrive at your drop off late afternoon or into the evening, depending on where you live.

We will depart the Windsor area early in the morning, stopping for pickup in the Chatham, London and Ingersoll area.
This morning our first quilt shop will be Ye Old Fabric Shop, in Stratford! this is a wonderful fabric shop with everything from fabric to notions. This is my favorite shop if I am going on a shop hop day. There is so much to look at.
The shop has complete new collections by Tilda as well as the full Solid palette, blenders and basics.
Fat quarter bundles, fat eighths bundles, precuts and a large variety of kits.
We will make a stop for lunch then on our way to the next fabric shop.

This morning we will be visiting Kwartha Quilting and Sewing Shop in Bethany.

Our selection of machines, threads, and fabrics is carefully curated to provide the best possible tools for our customers' projects.
After we leave the shop we will be stopping for lunch in Uxbridge, then visiting Quilter's Cupboard. A quilt shop will a full a range of fabric and notions for you to explore.
We will arrive back at the hotel late in the afternoon.

After breakfast we will check out of the hotel and make our way to the next shop.

After dinner we will arrive back at the hotel.

Day 1, October 20, 2025
We will depart Woodstock, Quality Inn, lower parking lot at 7:00am. We will be making stops in the Cambridge, Burlington and Toronto area to pick up more passengers.
After our lunch stop we will be visiting Stitch by Stitch, in Kingston.
They are a passionate group of quilters, garment sewers, hand-crafters, and sewing machine enthusiasts! They specialize in connecting people with exceptional sewing and embroidery machines, the highest quality quilting fabric, and the best tools, notions and education to grow them into the artists they want to be!
We will arrive at the hotel, The Double Tree, later that afternoon.
Day 2, October 21, 2025
After our delicious breakfast we will depart the hotel to visit Homemade Quilt Shop.
This is a great shop with everything from sewing machines, fabric to notions.
Today we will enjoy a 3 hour scenic river cruise lunch on the St Lawrence, with a Premium Table. We have a Premium reservation that guarantees a window table for our party and a specialty appetizer in addition to your meal. After the cruise we will have a step-on-guide get on the coach to give us a tour of Kingston.
We will arrive back at the hotel late in the afternoon.
Day 3, October 22, 2025
After breakfast we will depart the hotel and make our way to Taylor Sewing Quilt Shop. The shop offers an ever changing selection of quilting cottons, fat quarters, kits, do special orders, offer on-line shopping, carry lots of notions, Monks Cloth, Aida Cloth, patterns and holds quilting classes.
Our next shop will be Watergirl Quilt Co, in Prescott. This shop has a wide variety of supplies for the quilters, from sewing machines to notions. Watergirl carries Annie Products for the person who loves to makes bags!
While we are here this is our lunch stop.
Once we have all finished our lunch, we will be on the road to our next quilt shop, Quilters Barn and Gifts. What started as a hobby and a type of stress therapy Beth, the owner of Quilters Barn and Gifts, started off sewing dolls and teddy bears then getting hooked on creating beautiful quilts. Beth decided to take early retirement after working for 32 years in nursing and decided her new calling was to inspire creativity while making memories
She has her two daughters by her side to help her make this dream come true. Kara is helping with the technical side of the business and helps with her online presence through marketing and Kaitlyn assists in-store with providing customer service, making samples and being involved in some of the promotion of the business.
Together these three incredible ladies hope to inspire the younger generations and the young at heart to share in their love for craft, quilting, and sewing.
We will arrive late in the afternoon or early evening at our hotel for 2 nights, The Best Western Parkway Inn & Conference Centre.
Day 4, October 23, 2025
Today after a great breakfast, we will be visiting Auntie Em's Scapbooking and Quilting. They are a scrapbook and quilt store dedicated to providing customers with inspiration and encouragement and all the supplies that go with it!!
After we stop for lunch we will visit Ron's Fabrics/Niki's Quilty Corner.
Later in the afternoon we will arrive back at the hotel.
Day 5, 2025
After breakfast we board the coach and start to make our way home.
We will be stopping at the Big Apple for lunch. You will be able to enjoy a delicious lunch at the Smokehouse restaurant. The Big Apple also has a market where you can buy their famous pies, maple syrup, plus many more items in the market.
Kwartha Quilting and Sewing will be the last quilt shop on the tour. Kwartha Quilting and Sewing has everything a quilter needs. If you like Kimberbell, Accuquilt, fabric and lots of notions, this shop is for you.
Our stops in the Toronto area and Burlington will arrive home late in the afternoon. Cambridge and Woodstock will arrive home early in the evening.
