Day 1, April 23, 2025
We will depart Mississauga early in the morning stopping in Woodstock and London for a pick up on our way to Joliet Il. We will be stopping at one of my favorite quilt shops, The Marshall House in Michigan, where we will enjoy a delicious box lunch, before arriving at the Harrah’s Joliet Hotel late in the afternoon. Tonight we will enjoy a meet & greet dinner at the hotel. (L, D)
Day 2, April 24, 2025
After a hot buffet breakfast for our group we will be departing the hotel and be on our way. Today we will be stopping in Hannibal for lunch on board the Mark Twain River Boat on the Mississippi. After lunch we will enjoy a cruise on the Mississippi River. There will also be time to enjoy the great quilt shops in Hannibal as well. We will arrive in Chillicothe at the Comfort Inn & Suites later in the afternoon where will be staying the next 3 nights. (B)
Day 3, April 25, 2025
Everyone will be excited today as you will have the next 2 days to explore all the quilt shops in Hamilton Missouri, home of Missouri Star Quilt Company! This is the Disney Land for Quilters. During the 2 days here you will all have the chance to take part in a workshop. One of the 2 days we will listen to guest speaker, to tell us about her quilting adventure just for our group. (B)
Day 4, April 26, 2025
After breakfast we will visit the Missouri Quilt Museum. This is a fabulous museum with the largest collection of antique toy sewing machines, and a lot of adult machines. They also have a large collection of antique quilts as well as new ones. The rest of the day will be yours to shop for everything you missed the day before. (B)
Day 5, April 27, 2025
Today we will travel back to Joliet IL where will stay for the night. We will enjoy a group dinner as well. (B, D)
Day 6, April 28, 2025
Today after our group breakfast we will depart the hotel and make our way home. We will arrive back home late in the afternoon or early evening. (B)

Itinerary September 20-27, 2025
Day 1, September 20, 2025
Today we will leave London early in the morning, picking up in Woodstock, Mississauga and in the St. Catherines area, before we cross the bridge in Fort Erie.
We will make our way to the Finger Lakes NY area where we will spend the night.
Day 2, September 21, 2025
This morning after breakfast we will travel through the beautiful country side to Hershey PA, the home of Hershey Chocolate.
After lunch we will be taking a trolley tour through the streets of Hershey, to learn about the history of Milton Hershey, and the main sites of the area.
Later in the afternoon we will arrive at the Wyndham Resort and Convention Center.
After we check into Wyndham Resort Lancaster, unwind after your day of travel and exploration. Take some time to relax and enjoy the amenities offered by the resort.
Dinner: For dinner, you can either dine at one of the on-site restaurants at the resort or explore nearby dining options in Lancaster.
Day 3, September 22, 2025
Start your day with a satisfying breakfast, then we will be off for a shop hop of the Lancaster area.
This morning we will arrive at Burholder's Fabric Store and you can explore their selection of fabrics, quilting supplies, and more. Take your time browsing and finding the perfect fabrics for your projects.
After this stopping at the next quilt shop, Scenic View. Explore their offerings and perhaps find some unique fabrics to add to your stash.
Kettle Village: After your morning of fabric shopping, we will visit Kettle Village for lunch. This charming village often has quaint cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Take your time to relax and refuel before your next stop.
The Old Country Store: After lunch, visit The Old Country Store, known for its extensive selection of fabrics, quilting supplies, and crafts. Spend some time exploring the store and perhaps find some treasures to take home.
Shady Maple: We will head to Shady Maple for your group dinner. Indulge in a hearty meal at this popular buffet-style restaurant known for its delicious Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. Enjoy a variety of dishes and desserts as you unwind after a day of shopping and exploration.
Return to Accommodation: After dinner, return to your accommodation in Lancaster for a restful night's sleep. Reflect on your day filled with fabric shopping and delightful meals. (B,D)

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at the resort to fuel up for your day ahead.
We will meet our step-on-guide, to explore the Amish countryside and learn about their way of life, culture, and traditions. Enjoy scenic views and fascinating insights into the Amish community.
We will be stopping throughout the day at 4 Amish Artisans to see how they make their products and visit their stores.
Lunch in an Amish Home: After the tour, indulge in an authentic Amish dining experience with lunch served in an Amish home of Hanna King. Enjoy traditional dishes prepared with care and hospitality.
Dinner at Dutch Apple Dinner Theater: Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at Dutch Apple Dinner Theater. Indulge in a scrumptious meal while enjoying a live theatrical performance. It's a perfect way to unwind and savor the evening. (B,L,D)
Day 5, September 24, 2025
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the resort to energize for your adventures ahead.
Spend your day exploring the stunning botanical gardens, taking in the vibrant colors, lush landscapes, and captivating architecture. Don't miss highlights like the Main Fountain Garden, the Conservatory, and the outdoor gardens.
Longwood Gardens, honesty this is one of the most beautiful botanical garden that I have ever visited. The gardens consist of 1,077 acres, with 4.5 acres under heated connected greenhouses.
In the greenhouses there are over 4,600 different plants and trees, as well as fountains. There are rooms with just one type of flower, like orchids. There are ponds with many lily pads, some over 8 feet across! I think this will be great inspiration for quilts, between the colours and scenery.
Lunch at Longwood Gardens Cafe: Refuel with a leisurely lunch at the Longwood Gardens Cafe. Enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by the beauty of the gardens, and perhaps take some time to relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.
Dinner at Plain & Fancy: In the evening, head to Plain & Fancy for a taste of authentic Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine. Indulge in hearty dishes such as chicken pot pie, shoofly pie, and other traditional favorites in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
Return to Wyndham Resort: After dinner, return to Wyndham Resort to unwind and relax after a full day of exploration and dining. (B,L,D)

Start your day with a satisfying breakfast at the resort to fuel up for your shopping excursion.
After breakfast, we will set out for our fabric shop hop adventure.
Log Cabin Quilt Shop: Begin your fabric shopping at Log Cabin Quilt Shop. Explore their selection of fabrics, quilting supplies, and more. Take your time to browse and find the perfect materials for your projects.
Mook Fabrics: Next, head to Mook Fabrics, another destination for fabric enthusiasts. Browse through their wide range of fabrics and notions, and perhaps discover some unique finds.
Lunch at Bird in Hand Restaurant: After your morning of shopping, enjoy a delicious lunch at Bird in Hand Restaurant. Indulge in hearty Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine and savor the flavors of the region.
Lancaster Home & Fabrics: Continue your fabric exploration at Lancaster Home & Fabrics. Explore their collection of fabrics and home decor items, and see if anything catches your eye.
Dinner on Your Own: For dinner, you have the option to explore nearby dining options near the hotel. There are likely several restaurants within a short walking distance, where you can enjoy a variety of cuisines and dining experiences. (B, L)

Today we will depart the lovely resort ad start our journey home, stopping in Finger Lakes area for the night. (B)

Today we arrive home mid afternoon until late afternoon, depending on where you are dropped off.

Arrive at Deer Lake on the West Coast of Newfoundland to begin your holiday with
McCarthy's Party. En route to your tour hotel you will travel the Viking Trail to take
in the spectacular scenery of Gros Morne National Park, an area declared by the
United Nations as the newest World Heritage Site. Tonight you will enjoy a get
together to meet your fellow travellers and learn more about the adventure ahead.

Day 2, August 10, 2025
This morning we take a boat tour across beautiful Bonne Bay to Woody Point. The
trip offers spectacular views of the park’s vistas as well as the Tableland Mountains.
This golden mountain range made up of rocks formed from the Earth’s mantle is this area that earned the park its nickname as the ‘Galapagos of Plate Tectonis’. Once in Woody Point we have some time to explore the little town, visit the park’s Discovery Centre and have a little stroll in one of the Tableland’s valleys.

Day 3, August 11, 2025
Bid farewell to the west coast as we take an easterly trek, to a new geological
frontier. A perfect harbor provides a beautiful backdrop for an eventful morning of
whale interpretation and brilliant art exhibits. This afternoon commemorates the
survivors of the 9/11 Tragedy and the many acts of kindness extended when we
welcomed the 'Come From Away' guests into the homes and communities
surrounding Gander; the epicenter of the hit Broadway musical.

Day 4, August 12, 2025
Today we are off on the “Road to the Isles”, travelling across "Tickles and Runs" to
spend time on beautiful Twillingate Island. This is one of Newfoundland's oldest and most interesting fishing communities. We visit the lighthouse at Crow Head, the Auk Island Winery for a sample of their wares, and the Beothuck Centre in Boyd’s Cove where we learn about the native groups that once occupied Newfoundland.

Day 5, August 13, 2025
This morning we will visit the fishing community of Salvage on the Eastport
Peninsula. Here we go for a walk in the town and hopefully have a chat with some of
the locals. This is also a great iceberg viewing area. Next we travel to Terra Nova
National Park to view the vistas of Newman Sound and to visit the park’s Marine
Interpretation Center. Here we will experience first-hand the variety of marine life
found in the sounds and learn about this ecologically diverse area.

Day 6, August 14, 2025
This morning we travel to the historic village of Trinity, one of the oldest
communities in North America, the gem of the Island. Here we learn about the Poole fish merchants who established this fishing station. We also have the opportunity to visit some of the many shops and galleries where local work is featured. Next we are off to Bonavista, the landfall of John Cabot in 1497. Here we visit the Ryan Premises and have an opportunity to learn about inshore fishing techniques that have allowed this town to thrive for hundreds of years. This afternoon we visit Cape Bonavista for a chance to walk the cliffs and enjoy the spectacular coastal scenery.

Day 7, August 15, 2025
Natural wonders abound on this morning’s boat trip to the Witless Bay Ecological
Reserve to views Atlantic Puffins, Murres and the millions of seabirds that nest on
these coastal islands. This is a favorite feeding ground for Humpback, Minke, and Fin whales where frequent and multiple sightings are a definite possibility. Visit Cape Spear National Historic Park, the most easterly point of land in North America, before heading into St. John's, the provincial capital and cultural showcase. Dinner tonight is on George Street, a street of nothing other than pubs and bars. We will enjoy some local pub fare as well as some Newfoundland music and entertainment.

Today we travel to Bay de Verde to take in the Festival of Quilts, a celebration of
handmade tradition and cultural creativity. We will have a chance to chat and meet
with the locals. Many of these quilts are for sale, so you can take a little piece of
Newfoundland home with you.

Day 9, August 17, 2025
An historic tour of St. John’s will provide a brilliant interpretation of North
America’s oldest city, and a proper orientation for your free time this afternoon.
Visit Cabot Tower and Signal Hill to view the harbour’s "Narrows" and admire the
architecture of old St. John’s, including the famous ‘Jelly Bean Houses’. This
afternoon is free to explore the many historic exhibits, walking trails and boutique
shops and galleries that surround your hotel. This evening, we share our Farewell
Dinner.
